Who are we?

SAILD is a Cameroonian NGO under Swiss law, working in rural development since 1988. We are a passionate and committed team, composed of agronomists, agroecology experts and members of civil society from the Congo Basin. We are convinced that the solution for sustainable agriculture lies at the confluence of traditional knowledge and modern innovations, we have created this platform to serve as a bridge between science, practical know-how and those that feed our sub-region Central Africa.

Our Vision

We are contemplating a prosperous and resilient Congo basin, where a regenerative and ecosystem-friendly agriculture ensures food sovereignty, improves the living conditions of family farmers and preserves the unique biodiversity of our natural heritage for future generations.

Our mission

The Support Service for Local Development Initiatives (SAILD) has set itself the task of democratizing access to agro-ecological knowledge in the Congo Basin. We provide farmers, cooperatives and project promoters free of charge with practical digital tools, accessible tutorials and extensive know-how to support them step by step in their agro-ecological transition, increase their economic and environmental resilience, and create a community of change actors
